Barbara Lindsay Carlson’s large landscape paintings are a tribute to the sweeping vistas of the Midwest that shaped her creative soul. Growing up in Chicago-land, she spent a lot of time with friends at Lake Michigan. After moving to Minnesota for college, Barbara developed a deep appreciation for the region’s natural beauty, often finding inspiration during long drives through rolling farmlands and open skies. Drawn to landscapes that lead to water, her work captures the tranquil allure of calm waters, endless horizons, and forested views. Using water reduction techniques, Barbara brings depth and movement to each piece, creating artworks that embody the beauty of nature while infusing any space with a sense of calm and connection.
